      Ha compiuto studi artistici presso l'Istituto d'Arte di Saluzzo (CN),

      si é laureato al  Politecnico di Torino - Facoltà di Architettura  nel

      dicembre del 1982.  Ha  collaborato con l'architetto  Guido Canali,

      Leonardo  Mosso e  Laura Castagno, occupandosi di arte, design,   

      progettazione architettonica e studio del paesaggio.

      Svolge l'attività professionale con studio in Saluzzo (CN).

Il viaggio che Walter Stiari intraprende con il suo lavoro, con le immagini, coi

frammenti di pittura-scultura, tende alla ricerca delle ragioni più profonde del-

l'essere mediante le esplorazioni dei luoghi che interagiscono direttamente coi

nostri più inconsci pensieri.

All'interno di un percorso artistico iniziato oltre  quindici anni fa, Stiari delinea

i propri confini espressivi indagando nuovi miti.

Dalle "Ali del desiderio" che  richiamano alla mente il sogno della libertà cer-

cata con la bramosia di una nuova conoscenza, alla poetica dell'inaccessibile e

dell'irragiungibile presente ne "L'infinito", dalla leggerezza della natura-pittu-

ra  espressa  attraverso le "Ninfee", alle visioni simboliste della "Musa", as-

sunta quale tramite per i "Voli mentali".

Il confine viene varcato ogni qualvolta Stiari delinea un nuovo percorso che si

traduce in accesi cromatismi o nella scelta del non colore, attraverso  la mate-

ria che trasforma e assorbe in sé anche la tela.

The journey which Walter Stiari is undertaking with his work, his images, and

his painting and sculpture fragments, aims  to researching the deepest reason

of  the  being through  the exploration of  places  interacting  directly  with our

most unconscious thoughts.

With his artistic journey begun over fifteen  years ago, Stiari outlines  his own

expressive boundaries looking into new myths.

From "Wings of desire" which remind us the dream of freedom searched with

the greed of a new knowledge, to the poetics of the present as unapproachable

and  unreachable in "The Infinity";  from the lightness of the  nature-painting

expressed  through the "Nymphaeas", to the symbolic vision of the "Muse",

taken as an intermediary towards "Mental Flights".

The border is  crossed  whenever  Stiari  outlines a  new path either with chro-

matism or the  choice of  non colour,  through  the matter that transform   and

incorporate even the canvas.
